Hotel TAMARIS Island Rab

"Tamaris" is a new hotel, opened in 2005, located right beside the sea in St Euphemius Bay in Palit. The old town center is located only a few pleasant minutes walk away, through the "Komrcar" town park. The famous "Skver" town beach is located nearby, with its dense, centennial pine forest extending to the sea itself, and its pebble and sandy beach make it a fitting choice for experienced swimmers and small children alike. Taxi boats from the nearby jetty can ferry you across easily and quickly to "Frkanj" Peninsula, known for accommodating the first nudist beach, once frequented by a Royal British couple, reputed to be the most distinguished amongst nudists of the time. "Frkanj" Peninsula is abounding with dense forests and countless tiny coves adorned with rocks or with the finest of sand, together with crystal clear sea water presents ideal conditions for bathing.

Rooms

Hotel-Pension "Tamaris" is open all year round and offers accommodation in 14 contemporary furnished double bed rooms. All rooms include an on suite bathroom, telephone, sat TV, furnished balcony and air conditioning. Boat moorings are located in front of the hotel. Guests can choose between breakfast, half pension or full pension arrangements. House pets are not welcome.

Avariety of sports can be found within the immediate vicinity of "Hotel Tamaris", including bocce grounds, 3 tennis courts, mini golf, table tennis… Strolls through the central park are particularly suitable to people with respiratory problems (asthma, bronchitis), which can be confirmed by the closeness of the former Thalasotherapy clinic. Should you venture via the seaside promenade to the opposite side, in the direction of Kampor, you will arrive at the Franciscan monastery of Saint Euphemius, where you will find the Rab museum, which houses a rich collection of cultural and historical artifacts, several wonderful chorales, an interesting collection of necklaces and historical money, sacred ornaments and archaeological vestiges.

Exquisite meat and fish specialities are offered in the beautifully furnished a la carte restaurant "Tamaris". You may choose to pleasantly spend the rest of the evening by the aperitif bar within the restaurant enjoying choice wines and exotic cocktails. Relax on the wonderful terrace, right beside the seaside promenade, wining and dining while enjoying in fantastic views to the sea.
